Mind the step uses the intimate contact sounds of stepping, tapping and scraping on a carpet. In the installation these sounds are repeated, delayed and played back to the person on the carpet. 

Before they are delayed noise cancellation is applied and the dynamic range is adjusted by compression, gating and enhancing.
